Saturday Night Boxing: A showcase of professional boxing matchups highlighted by the ABO heavyweight championship bout hosted by WDRB’s anchor Gilbert Corsey
National BBQ Showdown: 7 award-winning pitmasters from across the U.S. showcasing samples of their unique take on BBQ.
Bourbon Showcases: Each fight presented and sponsored by leading bourbon brands, with branded tasting booths and promotions.
Cash Bar & Food Court: Featuring local vendors and specialty bourbon cocktails.

Each pit master will serve up two bold, mouthwatering creations, putting their own signature spin on authentic Southern-style BBQ. That means 14 unique barbecue dishes packed with smoky flavors, creative recipes, and serious bragging rights. Wander from pit to pit, discover your favorites, and enjoy all-you-can-sample BBQ as you savor some of the best barbecue around! We still have an exclusive lineup of handcrafted cocktails created especially for this event! Discover bold flavors, creative pairings, and one-of-a-kind drink experiences as you sample your way through an incredible selection of championship-caliber barbecue and specialty cocktails. From smoky and savory to sweet and refreshing, every sip and every bite is part of the adventure. Guests will witness a truly special live art experience as local artist and former boxer Robyn Gibson creates an original painting right before your eyes. This one-of-a-kind masterpiece will then be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Kentuckiana V Foundation.

We are excited to partner with Kentuckiana Friends of V (KFOV) to support local cancer research and prevention. KFOV was founded in 2018 by ESPN analyst, U of L Men’s Basketball color commentator and Louisville resident Bob Valvano, brother of the legendary Jim Valvano, to fundraise specifically to benefit residents of Kentucky and surrounding areas. The organization supports projects and research at UofL Health Brown Cancer Center, Norton Children's and the UK Markey Cancer Center in addition to the V Foundation. To date, the organization has been able to provide well over $500K for initiatives across Kentuckiana.
A portion of proceeds from Bourbon, BBQ and Mayhem go to support their mission of funding life-saving cancer research and prevention in our own backyard!
Main Event Kombat is proud to also support Operation BBQ Relief, a highly respected nonprofit organization founded by Kansas City pitmasters and dedicated to serving communities in times of need. Through its mission of providing comfort, nourishment, and hope, Operation BBQ Relief has delivered more than 12 million meals across 42 states and the Bahamas. By harnessing the power of barbecue to bring people together, the organization helps restore a sense of normalcy and connection for disaster survivors, first responders, military personnel, and other heroes who serve our communities every day.
The Venue
Bourbon BBQ and Mayhem will take place at the premiere Harley Davidson dealership in the state: Bluegrass Harley Davidson. The dealership's expansive outdoor area will be transformed into a vibrant festival ground, featuring live music, food stalls serving up the best BBQ in the country, and exquisite bourbon tasting stations.
